The past few days, Brielle has been spending a lot of time sleeping and has gotten two baths for diaper reasons. She loves to be cuddled and fake smiles a lot. We've been working on tummy time and she is a champ. She holds her own head up most of the time. It's amazing how strong she is for being only 11 days old. We are lacking for sleep but definately not in love for this sweet little girl. We can't imagine not having her in our lives.
Welcome baby! Brielle Elizabeth McAllister was 9 lbs 1 oz born on December 4th, 2011, 20 inches long, at 10:16 pm. More baby pictures to come and the birth story.
These may be my last cakes for a while. The pink cake was the last cake for my course 1 in decorating. Not bad for an amateur right? The Nemo cake I did the next day for a friend of ours. Their little girl turned 2 and she loves Nemo. I hand-stenciled the Nemo, transferred it onto the cake and filled it in. Until I find the perfect black dying agent, just buy the black icing from the store. Black is a pain to acheive in frosting. Other news, our little girl is already six pounds! She has also dropped to my pubic bone and I can feel every bit of it. We'll do another belly update in a week and a half. Bet you want a piece of cake now right?
I haven't bought anything for baby in a while, but this dress was 40% off and I had to have it. I got textured tights to go with it. I'm so excited to dress up baby girl.
Monday's class this week was focusing on two simple flowers, leaves, and rosettes. We had to decorate our cupcakes with shaggy mums and pom pom flowers. My pom poms were rushed at the end due to the lack of time. I also think a stiffer frosting for the pom poms would yeild better flowers. It's all a learning experience.
Stuart had a 3 day conference in West Houston that I got to tag along on. Since Stuart's meals were not with me I was left to my own devices. I thought I'd experience room service since I normally would never be that extravagant. Needless to say, everything was delicious and there was way too much food.
Stuart and Rachael were married on April the 28th, 2007. They have a beautiful new daughter, two cats, and live in Texas. Stuart is working for ExxonMobil and has finished his MBA, and Rachael has graduated with her bachelors of nursing!
